Well , “Hello World” from LazyBird. This is not a secret mission , my unknown friends ! Chupke Chupke is one of my favourite hindi ( Bollywood ) movies starring Dharmendra , Sharmila Tagore , Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. Even a hundred times of viewing this light hearted ,comical treat of the 1970’s would still not reduce the reading on the Laughter meter. And As I sat wondering what I could name the blog so that even 10 years later , I would be able to relate to , I could only think of this ! Other options were “Messeduplife”, “WhyMe”, “AmSoBored”,”LazyLamhe”…..well , not really nice to look at after a couple of years , and who knows , maybe even tomorrow. Now with all the justification that I have cooked up for my blog name , I warn you that none of the postings here is going to have the deep , dark secrets of my life ! Sorry ! And if you still wanna go ahead and read , wow , you got plenty of time , (un)like me !
Some days when you don't want to start on some new show and you don't want to watch something without knowing the ending, you'd go back to shows or movies that you have loved as a child. Yesterday was one such day. I went on to watch Jim Carrey's "The Truman Show". When I watched it as a younger person, I liked it for Jim's acting and the entire storyline seemed outrageous and yet heartbreaking. How can one person's life be in front of camera all the time and how can one be living a lie ! Present age, in 2024, when I watched this, I saw it in a different light. With social media being rampant, with everyone having access to cameras on their phone to instantly capture a video, no one can escape being a "Truman". Any instance of your life can be captured by someone and you could end up being ridiculed or hailed a superstar overnight.
