Earlier this week, I was telling my son that the weekend was just a couple of days away. We could eat Pizza, pasta, burger, anything he wanted. Cut to Friday night. He refused to sleep with his grandma like he usually does. He came running to me. We were cuddling and playing on the bed and I mentioned to him that we all don't have to go to school or office tomorrow. We could sleep longer than usual.
He immediately reminded me that Saturday was Pizza day. That kid amazes me. He remembers so many things which we would have forgotten that we even talked about. He recites a sloka, "Shuddha Brahma Paratpara Raam" in the cutest way possible. I wonder how he remembers so many lines of the shloka's lyrics. The last week was particularly hectic. And one way I get through every stress possible is this young kiddo. He hugs me and tells me that I am his friend and he gets excited that I am back home from the office.
Weekends are just as hectic as my weekdays at work. My 3-year-old makes it completely worth it at the end of the day. Every weekend is special when we get to spend time together. Now got to go and make him do his homework. Yes. 3-year-olds get homework too. We will discuss that on another day.
