Food Festival with my Parents

This is the first time in many years that I got to spend 4 months with my parents in Chennai. All my growing up years, I have never thought of cooking for my lovely mother.  Now, 4 years after my marriage, this 4 month break gave me ample time to experiment with food and give my mother a break from the routine. All this and more, even with an infant at home is really exciting - Cooking time is efficient, ingredients are fresh, healthy meals are given a preference. I can still not see myself cooking every day despite my interest in cooking. Maybe that will change with time. My little one is definitely my new source of inspiration to try out new cuisines and techniques. I have always been picky about what I eat and I know how much of a pain in the ass I am to my mother and mother in law. However, I have vowed to get my son to eat every vegetable and fruit. Only time will tell whether I will be successful in that herculean task I have bestowed upon myself. I have less than a week

The Client List

In view of a recent controversy where a young, former child actress was arrested in a prostitution racket, I have noticed something very shocking. There are thousands who have opposed to the news article stating only her details while masking those of her clients. No, that is not the shocking part – it is the fact that they too have been sharing her name, photo and other details in their post. When we expect media to be sensitive about the identity of the girl in an alleged case, why are we ourselves denying her that privacy through our “shares” and “likes” on social media sites? If you have no idea what that incident was, I request you not to search to enlighten yourself. This is something you can live without. I am not here to argue about whether what she did was right or wrong. I am not here to support or condemn her actions. All I am asking is we do what we want the media to do - Respect the privacy of the girl when they are so respective of the privacy of those wealthy businessm
