Fresh and fragrant perspective

Traditionally, flowers have been gifted at weddings and they are usually roses. We have all received bouquets of flowers that have been discarded after they wither away in the plastic wrap and die a natural death. Then came this concept of flower subscription boxes and flowers that last for a week or even more. I tried it out of curiosity and was instantly hooked. I replace them in different vases through their life and they are simply such a mood changer. One look at these flowers and you can instantly feel calm. The process is calming as well. With just sugar and juice of a lemon, they stay fresh upto 2 weeks. I also draw a lot of flowers these days.  Also I have recently started signing all my art with my Lazybird pseudonym. So you'll know which ones are recent and what's older. Art is what is keeping me sane these days. Until next time, Happy painting and admiring flowers .... If you are int

Amma's plate

As a kid, I always thought that the most interesting food was on my Amma's plate. She would add many of the items she made on her plate, pair it up beautifully with pickles, and relish every bite she had. It seemed weird to me at that time that someone could enjoy the food that she herself prepared, praise it openly and savour every morsel. While he would take an hour to finish his own food, when I was feeding him off of my plate, it seemed to disappear much faster. These are memories that I hope he will remember when he grows older and I am no longer around. I want him to remember me fondly like I remember Amma every time I enjoy my

Where am I these days?

I opened my blog page to see that I had not posted anything in 2021. Then I realized that I just moved to other channels of putting up my work - LazyBird Learnings on Blogger and LazybirdChupkeChupke on Instagram. So yes, my 2021 has been busy. I have been learning crochet - made multiple variations of the headband, Scarves, and coasters. I had picked up creative journaling and have been working on it consistently every weekend. Writing has shifted to offline, but I want to blog regularly as well. It has been something I have done for so many years. So until I get back to this, you can check out my posts on other channels. https://lazybirddoingthings-chupkechupke.blogspot.com/  or  https://www.instagram.com/lazybirdchupkechupke/
